HW 1 Your primary assignment this week is to make personal contact with me. Sign into the forum section, and compose 3 questions based on chapter 1 material. This chapter deals a little with rational thinking and its role in science.

HW II: READ CHAPTER 1: Do `problem' on page 16. You should also become familiar with the book. and some of the resources that we will be using freqently in the course. Read chapter 1 in the text, and do the project found on page 16 of the text. Many of you will need some help in figuring out how to do this. Post your questions to the Forum if this is the case. After you have done the project, email me with the results of your project.
HW III: Visit the Web site for the `Skeptical Inquirer' (link is on the main coursework page). Find an article in one of the recent issues that interests you --- could be anything from flying saucers to mental telepathy.... Post a review of that article in the forum section of this class. Describe how the article address its subject by discussing how logic, and the principles of scale and proportion were used in support of the subject.
